The tradition of wetting candidates at the badge ceremony

The traditional wetting ceremony is held in front of the fleet command for candidates who have completed initial and basic training at the 2nd Command of the Main Jet Base and became jet pilots after completing training which lasted about 2 years.

In the ceremony with the presence of the base commander, water taken from a tanker truck is sprayed with a hose on the pilots who start doing push-ups at the command of the commander.
