Organized in collaboration with FilmKoop between June 18-26 at Büyükada Atatürk Square, Heybeliada Market Square and Burgazada Cennet Bahçesi, the event “CINEMADA” includes film screenings, interviews with directors and actors, masterclasses and workshops. “IN THE CINEMA” will begin on Saturday, June 18 at 5:00 PM with the participation of actress Deniz Türkali and film critic Alin Taşçıyan, with a lecture on “Women in Cinema from Past to Present” at the Büyükada Çelik Gülersoy Cultural Center.

CHILDREN MAKE MOVIES
Also “IN THE CINEMA” did not forget the children this year. Children aged 8-12 can participate in the stop motion workshops, which last three days in one-day modules. With the workshop to be held in Büyükada from June 22-23-24, children will have the chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at the films they are curious to watch. WORKSHOP YOUTH CINEMA
In the film workshop for young people, young people will shoot and edit short films on the island. MASTERCLASS SCENARIO WITH PETROS MARARIS
Petros Markaris, born in Heybeliada, who wrote the scripts of many films by the famous Greek director Theo Angelopoulos, will meet the participants during the script masterclass workshop. The first 300 people to register will be able to participate in the Scenarios Masterclass Workshop, which will be held online on Wednesday, June 22 at 9pm, via the application link announced on IBB Culture and Arts’ social media accounts. The film “Don’t Forget Me Istanbul”, written by Petros Markaris, will be screened at Heybeliada Değirmenburnu on Sunday, June 26 at 20:15 as part of “CINEMADA”.
