Tavas 4th Zeybek Culture and Art Festival, which has not been held for two years due to the pandemic, was held with great enthusiasm in Tavas, the land of Zeybekler. The festival, which was dominated by the concerts of famous artists, attracted a large audience.

Folk dance teams and riders participating in the procession added color. Cortege walk republic squareIt ended with the program of laying a wreath at the Atatürk Monument in Istanbul. The festival continued with the opening program at the vineyards picnic area. Picnic area at the amphitheater in the vineyards where the opening program took place Emre Dayioglu and Ugur Onur took the stage. At 9 pm, folk dance teams from different provinces showed their performances and gave the audience colorful moments. After the folk dance performance, the first day of the festival concluded with the concert of local artist Emin Mert Boyacıoğlu.
EUROPEAN DENIZLIANS MEET IN TAVAS
On the 2nd day of the festival, the deputy of Denizli, President of the Turkish Group of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Ahmet Yıldız, President of the European Denizli Association, Mr. Ali İnceören, members of the association and valuable guests from abroad attended a meeting of the European Denizli Association in the amphitheater of the Bağlar promenade. Speaking at the event, the Mayor of Tavas, Mr. Hüseyin İnamlık, said: “The main aim of our festival is to introduce our Tavas in every aspect, preserve our Zeybek culture and pass it on to future generations. We are very honored that this year we can hold our traditional meetings with our European citizens from Denizli in different and prominent districts of Denizli, including in our Tavas. We are very happy to welcome our expatriate brothers longing for their homeland to our Zeybekler Diyarı Tavas.” said. Ali İnceören, President of the European Denizli Association, said at the event: “I would like to thank the mayor of Tavas, Mr. Hüseyin İnamlık, who gave us this opportunity and hosted us in Tavas, the land of Zeybekler.” . A panel discussion was held with Kazım Kınlı, Mehmet Çöm, Emin Baloğlu, veterans of Tavas Zeybeği, where the history of Zeybek was discussed. Speaking at the panel, Tavas Mayor Hüseyin İnamlık said: “Our Tavas Zeybeği, who tells of struggle, nobility and heroism, is a resistance passed on from generation to generation, the story of the efes who resist injustice and occupy the mountains.Identified by his name, this folk dance tells of the valor of the efes in its origins with its unique tune, clothes and heavy figures.The master’s majesty, nobility, pride and bravery come back to life in every figure made. We will continue to keep our Zeybek culture alive and pass it on to future generations with the Zeybek Culture and Art Festival, which we will organize every year.”

OGUZHAN KOÇ WINDOWS AT TAVAS
On the 4th day of Oguzhan Koç’s performance, tens of thousands of Tavas people filled the area. Citizens, who started to take their place on the festival site early in the day, had an unforgettable evening with the songs of the popular artist Oğuzhan Koç.
